Hello I’m Granger Forson or find me on . This time on scale up radio, I speak with Bay Burdett , the founder and CEO of Bays Kitchen. Bays kitchen is a business that designs and sells food products for people with IBS, or needing the FODMAP diet. They are based in Cheltenham and have been going for five years. The team is four members strong and already has four investors who support them on the advisory board. What is so interesting hearing about Bays journey is how when she was diagnosed with IBS, she couldn’t find meals that she could cook quickly at home, so she created her own. Then, following a challenge from her sister, she set out to help people like her who needed similar time saving food. As always, we cover a lot of ground, including: Finding a mentor in your industry will help you to reduce the issues you will face. Learn as much as you can about your industry as the start is key as well as ongoing. Your personal story is a huge part of selling your brand. What I love about this conversation with Bay is how she’s taken her drive to help people with IBS and turned it into a business. However, no matter what you think a business is about, the true understanding comes as you go about the hard work of building it and just have the resilience to keep going.
