Is SWOT Analysis Still Fit For Purpose?

19 Oct 2020

Show notes

Oct 19, 2020

In this episode of ScaleUp Radio, it’s all about SWOT Analysis.

If you’ve been in business for more than a couple of months, you’re probably aware of SWOT - which stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats and is a matrix that has been used for decades in business to recognise where you are, and the work you still need to do.

In this discussion we talk about:

- Whether or not SWOT is still suitable for businesses in 2020

- If not, is there an alternative to it; because we still need to analyse our business, using checks and balances on a regular basis

I’m joined in this discussion by:

Dave Perrigo from Perrigo Consultants: http://www.perrigoconsultants.co.uk/

David Lynes from Unique IQ: https://www.uniqueiq.co.uk/

Clare Vale from Sign Solutions: https://www.signsolutions.uk.com/

Himmat Rai from Sentinel Safety Solutions: https://www.sentinelsafety.co.uk/

David Lincoln Lewis from Industrial Switchgear: https://www.industrialswitchgear.co.uk/

There will also be a separate discussion on SWOT and the potential alternatives and tweaks a little later on.

And if you’ve not done a SWOT Analysis on your business, then hold off doing one just yet; at least until you’ve listened to this episode. I’m sure that you’ll look at SWOT in a brand new light.
