This time on ScaleUp Radio I speak with Carlo Colucci, the Client Director at County Employee Benefits.
County Employee Benefits is a business that is based in Gloucester and help their clients understand and define the best employee benefits they would need to recruit and retain their ideal staff. They started a few years ago, but they’ve already grown by taking on Carlo and have plans with more growth to come.
It was so interesting hearing Carlo’s story about how he came to the business and fitted into the culture and the passion driving it.
As always, we cover a lot of ground, including:
- Working in an office after a long time at home drives a set of under used social skills
- Working alongside the business owner every day is a true benefit of an SME rather than being a cog in the wheel of large company.
- Bringing value to a client to meet their needs rather than just chasing the fee is so rewarding.
What’s so illuminating about this conversation with Carlo is how it shows working in an SME with a family attitude approach is so rewarding and little daily chats are so valuable.
